Summer 2025 bond improvments

Flat Rock Community Schools is making great strides in transforming our learning environments and facilities, thanks to the support of our community through the voter-approved bond initiative. This investment is already making a visible impact across the district, with several exciting projects underway or recently completed.

At the elementary level, safety and accessibility have been prioritized with the addition of new sidewalks and updated equipment to enhance outdoor spaces. Inside the buildings, the elementary media centers have already been upgraded, creating vibrant, modern learning hubs for our youngest Rams.

The middle school has seen improvements as well, with the installation of brand-new bleachers, providing a more comfortable and functional space for students, families, and community members to gather and cheer on our teams.

Significant changes are also taking place at Flat Rock High School. A new building addition is under construction to support student growth and expand program offerings. The media center is being redesigned to better support 21st-century learning, and the locker rooms are receiving a much-needed refresh to improve functionality for student-athletes.

This bond work is part of a long-term commitment to enhance the educational experience for all students. The improvements will:

  • Enhance student learning environments

  • Expand and upgrade technology access

  • Improve athletic facilities

  • Protect the community’s investment in our schools

We are grateful for the continued support of our community in helping us provide safe, modern, and inspiring spaces for Flat Rock students. We look forward to sharing continued updates as these projects progress.
