Flat Rock Community Schools is now accepting unlimited applications for students who reside within Wayne County (105) and any contiguous county (105c).

Schools of Choice Section 105 allows FRCS to enroll students from another school district within Wayne County, provided the student meets the application guidelines.

Schools of Choice Section 105c allows FRCS to enroll students from districts outside of Wayne County in a contiguous Intermediate School District that includes Monroe, Washtenaw, Oakland, and Macomb counties, provided the student meets the application guidelines.

IMPORTANT SCHOOLS OF CHOICE INFORMATION

• Enrollment may be denied to students who have been suspended, expelled, or convicted of a felony.

• Transportation is not provided for Schools of Choice students. Students are expected to arrive and depart school on time according to FRCS Attendance Policy and Code of Conduct.

• All student Code of Conduct rules, procedures, and policies will apply to all students who enter FRCS under schools of choice.

• Registration for students accepted through Schools of Choice must be completed by August 18, 2025. If students are not registered by that date, FRCS will assume the application for Schools of Choice has been withdrawn.

• If your child is currently eligible for special education programs and services and you reside outside of WAYNE COUNTY, please be aware that Flat Rock Community Schools is required by state law to obtain a cooperative agreement regarding reimbursement for special education costs from your resident district BEFORE we can register your child in our district. If a mutual agreement cannot be reached with the student's home district/ISD, Flat Rock Community Schools reserves the right to deny enrollment.

• Once accepted, you do not need to reapply each year. Students will have continuous enrollment through graduation unless they withdraw.
