Mr. Oestrike and Mr. Moyer welcome you to the Flat Rock Media Center! (Follow the rules, and everything will fall into place 0_____0)

Mr. Moyer and Mr. Oestrike here, your new media specialist and e2020 administrator for FRCHS. Mr. Moyer is a graduate of Central Michigan with a B.S. in Education for History and Speech. I have spent the last three years developing youth through outdoor education at different outdoor education facilities (Van Buren Youth CampNature's Classroom: Camp Muskingum, and Sherman Lake YMCA).

Mr. Oestrike, e2020 administrator extraodinaire, graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in education for Arts and Science. He is also the head football coach and athletic event coordinator and all around good guy.

Attention Students: Sign up for Academic Lab at least one day in advance. Because of the lack of space and high demand to use computers the media center will not accept anyone who tries to sign up the day of Academic Lab. Academic Lab is a time for studying, reading, or working on class materials. It is not a time to play video games on the computers. If you are caught doing this, you will be written up and sent back to your academic lab advisor.

Expectations:

The Media Center is a wonderful location and resource to help students with their quest for knowledge. That is why only two things are required of students when they enter the Media Center: respect and responsibility. When students are taking a test, please be respectful and keep conversation to a minimum. Take care of the school's resources (computers, books, flash drives, etc.) because they are the only resources the high school has in its possession. The bottom line is: "You break it, you buy it," and we are not kidding in the least.

Media Center Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday→ 7:00am - 3:00pm

After School Study Hall: Monday - Thursday → 2:45pm - 3:45pm

Flat Rock's Alma Mater: Green and Gold

Hail to thee ol' green and gold

From the students young and old.

Through the halls we hear the cheers

Echoes now from bygone years.

Now for all the Love we bear,

Gladly we thy colors wear.

Flaunt them boldly to the sky

For we love thee, Flat Rock High!

Fight Song

Cheers, cheers for ol' Flat Rock High

Our green and gold is floating on high

Onward, onward, always fight

We'll beat our foes with all of our might

Block that kick and hold that line

We will be fighting all of the time

Spirit ahead with a one, two, three

And lead us to victory!

Our mission is to enable students and staff

to become effective lifelong users of

the information and ideas found in

both print and electronic resources.

The Board designates the superintendent and building administrators as the administrators responsible for initiating, implementing and enforcing this policy and its accompanying guidelines as they apply to the use of the Network and the Internet for instructional purposes.
